School Site Council

We will have 1 (two-year term) parent opening for the upcoming 2016-17 school year. Interested parents/community members can self-nominate or nominate a  candidate. Each candidate should submit a brief summary stating why they are interested in SCC and supporting Washington. Elections will be held at Back to School Night/Presentation Night in September. All parents and community members are welcome to attend School Site Council Meetings.   

The School Site Council (SSC) is a school community’s representative body, made up of school staff and parents/community members.The primary responsibility of the SSC is to participate in the development of the School Development and Improvement Plan (SDIP) also known as the Single Plan for Student Achievement,  and evaluate the effectiveness of programs by monitoring the use of Title I and other supplemental funding available to the school site.

SCC will meet once a month, date TBD.
